RevUnit co-founders at 2018 Arkansas small business awards.

Joe Saumweber and Michael Paladino are the proud co-founders of RevUnit located in northwest Arkansas and were recently named 2018 Arkansas Small Business Persons of the Year by SBA Administrator Linda McMahon.

The award-winning digital strategy and product development studio started with work conducted in coffee shops and libraries to an amazing organization today that focuses on enterprise transformation, catering to major businesses that are common household names like Walmart, Zappos, Purina, and AutoZone.

RevUnit has been in operation for only six years and since inception has experienced phenomenal growth rising from the original cofounder team to more than 60 digital experts who leverage human-centric design, strategic vision, and innovative technology for their top-tier clients. Remarkably, Joe and Michael have also expanded their presence from Bentonville, Ark., to Las Vegas and into Dallas with a national vision on the horizon.

Throughout their business operations, SBA has served an important role in providing assistance through an SBA-backed loan that helped establish an important line of credit while allowing the co-founders to focus on growth and innovation. The result is RevUnit achieved annual revenues last year of over $8m.

RevUnit awards

While continuing the RevUnit momentum, the co-founders are helping to shape regional innovation as partners in the SBA-funded Ozark Regional Innovation Cluster initiative as part of the Startup Junkie consulting group.

In addition to earning the coveted SBA Small Business Persons of the Year for Arkansas, under Joe and Michael’s leadership, RevUnit has been recognized among the “Best Places to Work” in Arkansas by Arkansas Business, named to the “Inc. 5000” list of fastest-growing companies in America, and named by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the 360 “Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America.”

“The RevUnit story is one of amazement and an inspiration to any small business startup or entrepreneur,” said SBA Arkansas District Director Edward Haddock. “At SBA, we are proud to be an element in their success as we work to help Americans start and grow their own business.”
