SBA To Conclude National Small Business Week on May 5th at Fresno Convention Center

FRESNO, Calif – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that the head of the agency, Administrator Linda McMahon, will conclude National Small Business Week (April 30-May 6, 2017) on May 5th at the Fresno Convention Center.  This free event is open to the public, and includes continental breakfast.  Advanced registration is required, and seating is limited. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, and the public are invited to attend.      

 Fresno’s National Small Business Week event will be hosted by SBA Administrator Linda McMahon.  It will include inspiring stories about how SBA has assisted local small business owners, and information about SBA programs that help entrepreneurs start and grow successful businesses.  Attendees can network with Facebook, Constant Contact, Chase, Leadpages, Lockheed Martin, Salesforce, Square,  YP, and other organizations that provide small business loans, counseling, training, and entrepreneurial support services.  Other speakers include California Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Allan Zaremberg. 

Linda McMahon is a co-founder and former chief executive officer of WWE, based in Stamford, Connecticut. She helped grow WWE from a 13-person regional operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees in offices worldwide. Now serving as the 25th Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, SBA Administrator McMahon will honor entrepreneurs across the country during National Small Business Week. Every year since 1963, SBA highlights the impact of small business owners across the nation during the first week of May. McMahon will begin the week in Washington, D.C., where she will recognize the country’s top small business owners. She will then attend entrepreneurship events in New York City, Indianapolis, and Dallas, before concluding in Fresno.

 This year to celebrate the 54th anniversary of National Small Business Week, SBA is featuring daily webinars to reach small business owners and entrepreneurs nationwide.  All National Small Business Week events including Fresno’s will be live streamed at  and on SBA's Facebook page at .
