John F. Fleming is the District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Delaware District Office. In that role, Mr. Fleming is responsible for the delivery and management of the Agency’s programs throughout the State of Delaware. Mr. Fleming started his SBA career in 1992 and has served in various positions including: Deputy District Director of SBA’s Delaware District Office; Lead Business Development Specialist; Chief Credit Officer; Marketing Specialist; and Public Information Officer. Mr. Fleming also served as a Senior Federal Policy Advisor for the White House Strong Cities, Strong Communities (SC2) initiative. SC2 is an innovative interagency approach for supporting our Nation’s cities, towns, and regions – one that is focused on partnering with these communities to strengthen their local capacity, comprehensive planning, and regional collaboration so they can better leverage their economic assets and build a strong foundation for economic growth and resiliency. Mr. Fleming graduated in 1992 from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Business Administration. Prior to attending college, he served in the United States Marine Corps as a non-commissioned officer. He is married and has one son.
