Not sure how to sell your products or services to the government? Minority and women entrepreneurs are invited to the “Opening Doors to Government Contracting” conference in the fall of 2016 at the SUNY Polytechnic Student Center in Marcy, NY. The conference will be presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Syracuse District Office, Mohawk Valley Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Procurement Assistance Center, NYS Women’s Business Center, Business Training Institute, Inc., and Utica SCORE.
“Opening Doors to Government Contracting” will provide key information, resources and practical advice on how to do business with federal, state, and local agencies. The half-day conference includes presentations from procurement resource specialists and successful business owners that are currently selling to the government.
Procurement resource specialists will present specific government procurement programs and certifications for minority and women entrepreneurs. Participants will be able to attend one of three concurrent workshops that will cover federal contracting, federal certifications, and state certifications. Attendees will be able to meet with contracting representatives from agencies in the state and federal government as well as large corporations during the Speed Networking Session.
