Michael T. Kane serves as the Deputy Director for the Eastern Pennsylvania District Office. He joined the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in 2007 and is responsible for delivery of SBA programs and services to small businesses, resource partners, community organizations, and lending institutions throughout the eastern 40 counties of Pennsylvania.
In addition to his role as Deputy Director, he also serves as the Small Business Development (SBDC) Project Officer, monitoring and reviewing the SBDC Network throughout Pennsylvania.
Previously, Kane served as the Harrisburg Branch Manager covering south central Pennsylvania and as an Economic Development Specialist covering the Lehigh Valley region. He has also served as the Program Manager for the Emerging Leaders Initiative, a successful training program for urban businesses in Philadelphia and throughout the nation.
Before joining SBA, Kane held positions as an analyst for the Department of Defense: Office of Program Analysis and Evaluation, as a sales representative for Alltel Telecommunications, and as branch rental manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
He holds a Master of Management and Leadership in Public Administration degree from East Stroudsburg University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Monmouth University.
