The South Dakota District Office is responsible for the delivery of SBA's many programs and services for the entire state of South Dakota.
Over the years, the SBA has developed many small business loan and assistance programs, special outreach efforts and initiatives to aid and inform small businesses. The following describes briefly all the services and information available through this office:

Free counseling, advice and information on starting, better operating or expanding a small business through (SCORE) Counselors to America’s Small Business.
Assistance to businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals through the Minority Enterprise Development Program. For Federal procurement opportunities, please contact Lisa Claassen at (605) 330-4243 Ext. 28.

Center for Women Business Institute located at the Black Hills State offers current and prospective South Dakota women entrepreneurs assistance with counseling, training seminars, marketing, financing, networking opportunities, and entrepreneurial confidence. Contact their office at (605) 642-6435.
- The South Dakota Small Business Development Center (SBDC) operates six centers across the state and provides individual business counseling, business plan assistance and financial projections. The SBDC also hosts the state’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), South Dakota’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program, Manufacturing & Technology Solutions and the Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR).
