On the one-year anniversary of her husband’s death, Diana McPherson celebrated his life by turning a plan they had for their business into a reality.

Diana and her husband Josh took over ownership of Doodle Bug Square day care from Josh’s parents 13 years ago. On March 3, 2015, Diana, her family and employees, celebrated a ground breaking for the new Doodle Bug Square facility to be built just east of West Wind Elementary on 43rd Street. They utilized the SBA 504 Loan Program for financing to purchase land and build a new child care facility.

The McPhersons had planned to expand their services to a larger facility, but those plans were cut short when Josh died March 3, 2014.

Diana and her four children; Cameron, 16, Brooke, 14, Gavin, 9, and Halle, 6, dedicated the land and new facility in honor of Josh.

Doodle Bug Square has shown consistent sales growth each year. Due to the increasing number of children enrolled, DBS has steadily increased the number of employees from 22 in 2013 to 57 today.

Diana said she is looking forward to impacting many childrens’ lives at the new facility.
