One Project, One Relationship at a Time

Arshdeep Khurana

True passion for what you do to exceed customers’ expectations is a must, rather than being solely driven by profits. For nearly two decades, this attitude has been the driving force for one San Antonio company’s great successes.

“Convert your challenges as your goals to overcome”, said Arshdeep Khurana, CEO and founder of Avosys Technology. “Invest in continuous learning, leverage smart people to learn from and work hard to deliver the best you have while leaving the rest to destiny."

“If success happens it was meant to happen,” continued Khurana. “If it did not, you tried your best and may happen in the future.”

Avosys Technology was started by Arshdeep Khurana in 1998, during his final year of school, from his college apartment as he was studying computer engineering. He only had a single phone line internet connection and a used server for technology research and development.

As a one man company, Mr. Khurana worked diligently for a few small businesses as an IT consultant, and over the next three years, Mr. Khurana became a trusted advisor and CIO consultant for a dozen small businesses such as accounting firms, banks, technology, manufacturing, logistics and physician offices.

Today, the company has built its portfolio to over 50 small to mid-size businesses, three fortune 500 companies, State of Texas and Department of Defense.

“I dedicate my accomplishments my father, a computer scientist and my mother, an Indian classical devotional music teacher,” said Khurana. “Building me as a genetic makeup of digital genes for logical thinking coupled with musical notes for emotional, diligence and passion - acting as essential ingredients required to run a business.”

Competing for larger commercial, longer term projects was becoming highly competitive with much lower margins due to growing off-shore outsourcing model for IT project delivery.

Therefore Avosys decided it must diversify to increase its focus on public sector clients by utilizing U.S. Small Business Administration certifications, particularly the 8(a) Business Development Program certification. Khurana also participated in the SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative, completing the intensive seven month long course in 2016.

According to Khurana, Avosys’ mantra of success is built upon hiring the best talent of smart people, empowering them with proven technologies with the motivation to deliver exceptional results - one project at a time, one relationship at a time - with the goal of service.

Leveraging from the experience from serving both commercial and government customers, Khurana actively mentors multiple emerging small business owners to assist them with marketing and operational strategies, as well as participating in many training classes offered by UTSA SBDC and PTAC.

Avosys and Khurana continue to actively support multiple non-profit  organization such as Haven for Hope, supporting to provide meals to homeless; San Antonio Police department for supporting activities to fund for foster care children to provide school supplies. In addition, Khurana is an active participant of activities at Institute of Texan Culture and Multi-cultural organizations.
