Justin Seibert, president of Direct Online Marketing (DOM) in Wheeling, West Virginia is the winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s West Virginia District Office 2015 Entrepreneurial Success of the Year.  Seibert was nominated for the award by Chad Remp from Wheeling Truck Center, SBA’s 2014 Exporter of the Year.

Seibert, a West Virginia native, and his pregnant wife left California with their infant daughter in 2006. Neither had work lined up, yet they decided to move to West Virginia because they felt it was the best place to raise their family. He founded DOM that same year and has been hustling ever since.

DOM is a digital marketing agency designated as a Google Partner and Bing Ads Accredited Professional Agency, and is West Virginia’s oldest and largest digital marketing agency. DOM currently has 12 employees and is prepared to add additional staff in the coming months. In the past three years, DOM’s revenue has grown over 145%.

Muriale’s Restaurant in Fairmont, WV is the winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s West Virginia District Office 2015 Family-Owned Small Business of the Year.  Rocco Muriale, owner and second generation family member, was nominated for the award by Tina Shaw, President of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce President. 

Muriale’s Restaurant is a full service Italian restaurant located off of I-79 in Marion County, and has served the tri-state area since 1969. The restaurant was started by brothers Frank and Sam Muriale, their wives, grandparents, and numerous family members. 

When the restaurant first opened, it seated 32 guests and was known for its Italian specialties. Today, after receiving an SBA loan-guarantee in the 90’s, the restaurant seats 300 and offers a full on and off-site catering service and a complete menu dedicated to Italian cuisine.

You may not expect a green-economically-sustainable t-shirt company to be based in Morgantown, West Virginia, but that is exactly what you will find! SustainU, located in the heart of Mountaineer Country was founded by Chris Yura in 2009, and employees 23 local residents.

Yura, a Morgantown native, attended Notre Dame College where he played football and received degrees in Sociology and Computer Application. Yura’s passion for clothing came from his stint in New York City as a Fords Model after college. During his modeling career Yura was introduced to the manufacturing side of clothing and knew that is where his career as an entrepreneur was headed.

Yura immersed himself in the industry, taking a six month internship at a clothing manufacturing plant to learn the ins and outs. He returned to Morgantown in the late 2000’s, when the economy took a big hit, to open his small business.

Shuck Construction Company started in 2000 with owner Eddie Shuck at the reigns. During their first years in business, they saw great success with the booming coal industry in West Virginia. Shuck contributed the early success to hard work, quality services, and excellent communication with customers.

During a casual conversation at church, Shuck was encouraged to seek out information on doing business with the federal government and was directed to SBA’s West Virginia District Office. SBA Procurement Center Representative Barbara Weaver and Business Opportunity Specialist Melissa Loder, worked with Shuck to find his best route to his goal of working with the federal government was to become a certified HUBZone company.
