Jason Simmons

Associate Administrator

Jason Simmons is the Associate Administrator for Office of Field Operations at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).  In this capacity he provides executive management for SBA’s network of more than 90 field offices found within all 50 states, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and U.S. Territories.  The field offices are responsible for implementing SBA programs and initiatives to support entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Previously he served as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM).  His role was to assist the OPM Director by providing strategic advice and operational oversight to accomplish OPM's objectives. 

Prior to entering federal service, Jason was responsible for Intergovernmental Affairs at the Office of the Governor of North Carolina.  In this role he managed state government relations between local governmental officials and external stakeholders.  Additionally, he served as a Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services with a focus on operational efficiencies and organizational redesign.

Jason was formerly enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Combat Medic and Mental Health Specialist.

Jason received a Master of Arts in International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Carolina.  He is married and has two daughters.
