Alejandro Renteria
Deputy Associate Administrator for House
Mr. Renteria has been selected to serve as the Deputy Associate Administrator for the Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Small Business Administration. In this role, he assists in the SBA's legislation and congressional activity.
Prior to joining the U.S. Small Business Administration, Mr. Renteria served as Policy Advisor for U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen where he led the Senator’s work on the Senate Small Business Committee in addition to advising the Senator on banking, tax, trade, and immigration issues. In this role, he conducted policy analysis, developed legislation, and helped assist Nevada small businesses navigate COVID-19 emergency relief programs. Before joining Senator Rosen’s office, Mr. Renteria served in the U.S. House of Representatives as Legislative Director for Representatives Lou Correa and Lauren Underwood where he managed legislative teams and developed effective strategies to advance the members’ legislative agendas. Previously, he worked for U.S. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid as a Legislative Aide handling small business issues.
Alejandro graduated from San Diego State University where he earned bachelor’s degrees in International Business and Political Science.
