Veronica Pugin

Senior Advisor

Ms. Pugin has been selected to serve as the Senior Advisor to the SBA’s Office of Capital Access at the U.S. Small Business Administration. In this role, she leads programs and projects to deliver small business capital resources across the country with a focus on equity and accessibility.

Prior to her Biden-Harris Administration political appointment, Ms. Pugin worked on equitable small business capital access for the State of California, led macroeconomic planning and small business operations at LinkedIn, oversaw project operations for a financial inclusion technology company focused on underserved communities, and consulted government, business, and non-profit clients on project management and operations. As a consultant, she has worked with non-profit and government clients on programs targeting underserved communities, with a particular focus on Latino and underbanked populations.  

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from Stanford. She previously taught political economy, business, and economics at the University of San Francisco.

As the daughter of Latino immigrants, Ms. Pugin is honored to bring her personal and professional insight to the SBA in serving the country’s small businesses and promoting an economy that works for all.
