Congress and presidents require agencies to review existing regulations to determine whether they should be retained, amended, or rescinded, among other things. U.S. Government Accountibility Office (GAO) was asked to report the following for agency reviews:

Preliminary information on business owner demographics assembled by the U.S. Census Bureau is available now on the census website 2007 Survey of Business Owners (SBO). The SBO provides data on the number of firms, sales and receipts, employment, and annual payroll for business type by gender, Hispanic or Latino origin, race, and veteran status. Download census data tables (self-extracting Microsoft Excel files) sorted by industrial sectors and by state.
