This workshop comprises two modules. The first covers the benefits of having a professional website from a small business owners' perspective. How to attract visitors and drive increased sales. The other is somewhat more technically-oriented and touches on web design best practices, SECO, the importance of the home page, use of color and graphics, choosing what information to include and where to place it, along with the length of the page. In addition, advertising on the web, "pay per click," "pop-up" ads, and the importance of links to other websites. Optimizing marketing through the use of social media is discussed. Learn what service offerings are appropriate for you. WiFi is available so you may bring your laptop. Note: This is not a web site design or development course.
