Event description
The Corporate Transparency Act went into effect on Jan. 1, 2024, and requires most businesses to file a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Report with FinCEN, the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. The purpose of the CTA is to provide business ownership information to law enforcement agencies.
Existing businesses and new businesses may be required to report BOI, and may face penalties for non-compliance, so all business owners need to understand the requirements.
In this webinar, we’ll help you answer your questions about CTA, including:
- Is my business required to report beneficial ownership information?
- What kind of information am I required to report?
- How and where do I file the report?
- Is there a deadline to file the report?
- How often do I have to update this information?
Presenters: Taylor Stockemer and Robert Smith, attorneys at the Friday Firm
