Henrici Water Pump Station & Transmission Improvements
Description
The new Henrici Water Pump Station will be located on city owned property located at 16025 S Henrici Road. The pump station must provide 250 gpm domestic firm capacity plus 2000 gpm fire flow to replace the aging Fairway Downs Pump Station. Initially this pump station will operate as a positive pressure pump station, like the existing Fairway Downs Pump Station. The new pump station must also be designed for future conditions, when it will pump to a future reservoir at an elevation higher than the existing Henrici reservoir, providing gravity feed to the Thimble Creek Pressure Zone. The new 24-inch transmission main will connect into the city’s existing 16-inch mains at Glen Oak Road and Beavercreek Road and the Henrici Reservoir inlet pipe (outside the existing vault). Approximate footage for the planned alignment (parallel to the existing 16-inch main) is 5,800 linear feet. The existing 16-inch ductile iron water main was constructed in 1992 and supplies water to the city’s Henrici Reservoir and the Fairway Downs Pump Station.
