Colmex’s success over the past 10 years is due to its leaders and employees, dedication and passion to excellent work and customer service that exceeds expectations. Colmex started as a framing company and through the years started to add construction and renovation services to its portfolio. Since inception, Colmex was founded with strong core values, a family-oriented environment and culture that rapidly became the strong foundation which has been the cornerstone to attract construction professionals with diverse backgrounds to a successful team that leads the company
Angelica Rivera, who proudly holds the Presidency at Colmex Construction, LLC, has been recognized and awarded for her achievements by different organizations - not only for her leadership in the competitive construction industry in New Orleans, but also for her entrepreneurial spirit that has been an integral force towards the organizational growth at Colmex.
Colmex is serving their community not only by beautifying it but collaborating in their needs; serving families by building a friendly environment where employees are empowered to express themselves and for each other; serving other small businesses by sharing experiences that have enabled them toward a successful path. To that end, Angelica extends herself and her resources to assist small businesses who need a helping hand and a leg up. In Colmex’s office building, Angelica set up office space for small businesses who are looking for commercial office space but cannot afford the normal costs.
Angelica has been a client of SBA since the inception of Colmex Construction. She has benefited from numerous trainings and one-on-one counseling sessions from SBA over the years. She became a client of SBA’s Women’s Business Center hosted by Good Work Network in New Orleans. As an SBA and WBC client, she was able to take advantage of several training sessions under SBA’s 7(j) Management and Technical Assistance Program. At a time when she needed it most, Colmex Construction received an SBA guaranteed bond under SBA’s Surety Bond Guarantee Program. She continues to work with the Louisiana District Office staff to enhance the growth of her company. Angelica was awarded the Louisiana District Office’s 2019 Entrepreneurial Success Award for being a successful trailblazer for her work and passion that is Colmex Construction, LLC.
