WASHINGTON –Maria Contreras-Sweet, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration will visit Jackson and Vicksburg, Mississippi on July 7th as part of her five-day Delta Region Main Street Road Tour which will take her to five states and 11 cities. She will finish up in New Orleans on Friday, July 8.
While in Jackson, Contreras-Sweet will dine at the Elite restaurant for breakfast. Throughout the day she will be accompanied by Jackson Mayor Tony Yarber where they will conduct a Main Street Roundtable at IMS Engineers, visit and tour the Cathead Distillery along with a walking tour and visit to many small businesses in the Fondren neighborhood.
Later that afternoon Contreras-Sweet will tour Main Street Vicksburg with Mayor George Flaggs and visit many small businesses. She will then give remarks at a Vicksburg City Hall press conference.
