What are the components of a grant? What information do I need to be successful in getting a grant. We will breakdown each part of a grant proposal and discuss what you need to know to be successful.

 Executive Summary: short description of the request

 Statement of Need: issue to be addressed, supported by data

 Goals and Objectives: specific goals and their desired outcomes

 Evaluation: measuring achievement of your goals

 Other Funding: other current or projected sources of revenue

 Information: mission statement, board of directors, history and track record,

community/population served

 Agency and Project Budgets: statement of project costs, how much needed, how

funds will be spent—and the applicant organization’s annual budget

 The Grantwriter: responsibility for identifying grant prospects and generating

applications
