Event description
New tariffs can create serious challenges for federal government contractors, affecting everything from material costs to pricing stability and supply chain reliability. This webinar will explore key ways tariffs impact contractors—and how businesses can proactively identify risks and implement strategies to minimize exposure.
Topics will include:
- How tariffs can increase material costs, create pricing uncertainty, disrupt supply chains, and lead to contract disputes
- Potential avenues for recovering tariff-related costs, including the role of contract type (cost-reimbursement vs. fixed-price), key FAR clauses, and the process for seeking equitable adjustments
- Strategies for accounting for potential tariffs during the bid phase of acquisitions
- Best practices for managing tariffs in subcontracts, including FAR flow-downs and cost-shifting provisions
By the end of this session, participants will be better equipped to anticipate, respond to, and recover from the effects of new tariffs in the government contracting space.
Target Audience: government contractors of all sizes, APEX Accelerators
