No cost webinar. Register All entrepreneurs are welcome to participate in UHV SBDC’s training programs. The 8(a) program is a 9 year program that is a valuable tool for experienced socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners, who have already been in business for at least two years or more, and are interested in expanding their footprint in the federal marketplace. Receive one-on-one business development assistance for their nine-year term from dedicated Business Opportunity Specialists focused on helping firms grow and accomplish their business objectives. Content will cover program eligibility criteria, benefits, application prerequisites and process with a SBA Business Development Specialist. This SBA program provides federal contracting and training program for experienced small business owners who are socially and economically disadvantaged. Businesses that participate in the program receive training and technical assistance designed to strengthen their ability to compete effectively in the American economy. Also eligible to participate in the 8(a) program are small businesses owned by Community Development Corporations. Small business development is accomplished by providing various forms of management, technical, financial, and procurement assistance. The Texas South-West SBDC's have partnered together with our SCORE Chapters in Texas to bring you expert content to help your small business grow and succeed.
