Join us on June 24th from 1 pm to 2 pm, “Workplace Safety Matters” - "OSHA Safety Regulations Every NH Small Business Needs to Know." This session is tailored for New Hampshire small business owners and managers. An OSHA expert will cover essential federal safety regulations, how to identify workplace hazards, prepare for inspections, and develop an effective safety plan. The NH Department of Labor will also provide an overview of state-mandated safety committee requirements. Don’t miss this chance to enhance your workplace safety knowledge and ensure compliance. This session will equip you with valuable tools for a secure and productive work environment. Hear from WorkWise NH and OSHA Training Institute Education Center, Keene State College. 

 

BIO: Andrew Palhof is a Regional Compliance Assistance Specialist out of the Concord, New Hampshire Area Office.  His primary responsibilities are to coordinate and conduct outreach training programs aligned with OSHA’s mission and strategic plan while providing technical support for OSHA's compliance and outreach efforts. 

 Prior to becoming the Compliance Assistance Specialist, Andy worked as an OSHA Compliance Officer in Syracuse NY, and Concord, NH.  Before working for OSHA, Andy worked as a Safety Consultant for the NH OSHA Consultation Program while assisting employers with complying with OSHA requirements.  Andy’s background in safety started while working for a large sawmill, while handling all safety, health, and environmental compliance issues. 

 Additionally, Andy has a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety Studies from Keene State College and an Associate Degree in Applied Science, Fire Science from Laconia Technical College.  While completing his Associate Degree, Andy worked at a local fire department and became a Certified Fire Fighter, Hazardous Material responder, and a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
