Join the Kansas Department of Commerce and the U.S. Commercial Service for an in-person training seminar on export compliance and legal considerations in working with distributors
and other resellers in international markets, presented by attorney Grant Leach from the law firm of Husch Blackwell LLP.
The event’s morning session will cover:
• Export controls under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”)
• Trade sanctions imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”)
• Discussion of recent changes in ITAR, EAR and OFAC compliance requirements and potential future changes.
The event’s afternoon session will cover:
• Different options for structuring your international sales channels
• Key contractual terms to include in your purchase orders and reseller agreements for foreign markets
• Practical legal issues that often arise when doing business globally
