Event description

Federal contractors have a responsibility to ensure federal contracting information is handled appropriately and in accordance with the applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

FAR 52.204-21 identifies the "Basic Safeguarding of Covered Contractor Information Systems" and defines the "Covered Contractor Information System" as an information system that is owned or operated by a contractor that processes, stores or transmits Federal Contract Information. Therefore, if a federal opportunity or solicitation contains the FAR 52.204-21 regulation, the contractor has a responsibility to ensure the federal contractor information is handled, processed or stored in a certain way within the company information systems.

This webinar will provide an overview of the safeguarding requirements found in FAR 52.204-21 and will explain, in easy-to-understand language, what each requirement means.

Presenters: Lynn Louis & Eric Byrd, Procurement Consultants, Kentucky APEX Accelerator. NOTE: Login instructions will be sent the morning of the event.
