A company can gain a competitive edge when bidding on government contracts by obtaining certifications that limit competition to specific types of businesses. This FREE webinar will focus on certifications available at the federal level through the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the state level through the State of California.

The webinar will cover the 8(a) Business Development Program, designed for socially and economically disadvantaged businesses. This unique certification lasts nine years and offers sole-source contract opportunities for 8(a) companies. Participants will learn about the program's requirements, qualifications, and application process.

Additionally, the SBA offers three other certifications:

• Woman-Owned Small Business Certification
• HUBZone Certification for businesses in areas with high unemployment and low income
• Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Certification
