Event description

Did you know that 82% of small businesses fail due to cash flow problems, yet most entrepreneurs spend minimal time learning the financial skills that could save their ventures?

This workshop provides an in-depth exploration of financing options available to small businesses, helping entrepreneurs make informed decisions about funding their ventures. You will learn how personal and business credit impact loan decisions, how lenders evaluate applications using the “5 C’s of Credit,” and how to build a strong loan package. The class will also cover the advantages and disadvantages of different forms of capital, enabling you to assess the long-term impact of each choice.

You will also be guided through understanding and interpreting key financial statements—balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Emphasis will also be placed on understanding basic financial management best practices to ensure and communicate your business’s financial health.

LEARN HOW TO:

  • Evaluate the various types of financing available for small businesses.
  • Determine the advantages and disadvantages of the different forms of capital as it relates to your business.
  • Understand and create the big three financial statements and analyze them from a lender’s perspective
  • Implement financial management best practices.
