The Business Model Canvas Suite is a series of three “maps” that lets you VISUALIZE the process of discovering if your business idea is viable - long before you spend time and money. These maps can become the framework for writing the Business Plan. (SCORE Mentors, additional notes and instructions can be found in the slide presentation.)

Using “Sue’s Coffee Shop” as an example, we’ll walk through the first map, “The Value Proposition Map,” to show how to talk to customers, figure out what matters most to them, and turn your idea into a solution they’ll be excited about.

You will learn how to identify:

  1. Who is the Customer?
  2. What do they find lacking in the product(s) they are using today?
  3. How would your product or services delight the customer?
