Event description

The B2B Reboot curriculum provides assistance to those interested in exploring business ownership or other self-employment opportunities by leading participants through the key steps for evaluating business concepts and providing foundational knowledge required to develop a business plan. Participants are introduced to a broad spectrum of entrepreneurial business concepts and resources available to access start-up capital, technical assistance, contracting opportunities, and more.

Our Boots to Business-Reboot (B2BR) classes are offered on Tuesdays in a virtual format from 5:00-7:30pm;( Pacific Standard Time) 2-3 MODULES ARE TAUGHT PER WEEK. Must register for each week separately.

 MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS OWNERSHIP                                     

OBJECTIVE: Provide an overview of the entrepreneurial process, what it means to be an entrepreneur, the opportunities and challenges and military skills and attributes that transfer over to entrepreneurship.

MODULE 2: THE RIGHT IDEA? BASICS OF OPPORTUNITY RECOGNITION

OBJECTIVE: Describe the process and activities related to understanding the ‘business case’ for turning an idea into a sustainable business concept. Understand how to refine and refocus current ideas.

MODULE 3: UNDERSTANDING MARKETS & YOUR COMPETITIVE SPACE

OBJECTIVE: Understand how to conduct market research, the importance of market research, and the basics of competitive strategy/analysis. Understand ways to conduct low-cost customer validation and market research. Understand how to evaluate an industry.
