Readout: SBA Deputy Administrator Dilawar Syed Delivers Keynote Address at West Virginia Rural Partners Network Forum

SUMMERSVILLE, WV—SBA Deputy Administrator Dilawar Syed was in Summersville, West Virginia yesterday to deliver keynote remarks at the West Virginia Rural Partners Network. The visit was part of the White House “Investing in Rural America Regional Event Series” spotlighting how President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is lifting up rural communities.

In his remarks, Deputy Administrator Syed highlighted the historic public and private investments that have come to West Virginia under the Biden-Harris Administration and the more than 47,000 new business applications in West Virginia since 2021. Syed also emphasized the importance of the agency’s partnership with USDA to grow the Rural Partner Network, and continuing work to democratize access to capital for rural and other underserved entrepreneurs.
