Evaluation of the SBA Regional Cluster Initiative

These evaluations describe the outcomes of SBA’s Regional Innovation Clusters initiative. Among the preliminary outcomes, there is evidence of new business formation within the clusters and job creation in small businesses that participated in the clusters. The initial findings and outcomes indicate that the clusters may have increased opportunities for small business participation within the ten clusters, made strides toward promoting innovation in their respective industries, and that the small businesses that participated in the clusters impacted regional economic development and growth.
