GROW Nebraska Women's Business Center: 2024 Business Plan: Snap & Boost - Cohort 2 - June 4-July 16, 2024

GROW Nebraska Foundation and GROW Nebraska Women’s Business Center is excited to announce registration is now open for Business Plan: Snap and Boost 2024!

Business Plan: Snap & Boost Program is a 7-week training program designed to provide insight to both new entrepreneurs as well as those who started business without fundamental business knowledge. GNWBC will host 3 cohorts in 2024 with up to 30 participants in each session. Upon completing the session, each cohort participant will also be awarded a stipend to go towards setting up new business accounts and/or help cover startup costs. They’ll also walk the graduation stage at the annual Startup to Success Conference which is annually hosted by our partners at Nebraska Enterprise Fund.

Within the 7-weeks, participants will complete a ready to use business plan, have a complete understanding of their business financials and projections, introduction to several community resources and guest speakers, create and present a strong elevator pitch, and finally an introduction to marketing strategies. 

“Snap” is for getting your business plan completed in a snap, and “Boost” is for the boost in connections and opportunities each participant will experience. Thanks to our partners at Wells Fargo Foundation, we’ve also redesigned our training materials to make it even easier to digest and understand each component of this necessary tool. Traditionally, a business plan can range anywhere from 10-30 pages of empty words and big phrases that usually the business owner doesn’t even understand. GROW Nebraska and its Executive Board have also been at work to dissect exactly what bankers are looking for when presenting a business plan, and now have a template that’s only 5 PAGES LONG! Now we can be very strategic about how we create and develop our business plans together and make sure its users are well-equip to discuss, explain, and present their business with confidence. 

This year, we’re also excited to have Winsley Durand of Omaha Chamber as our Program Trainer for Cohort 1. Winsley comes to us from our partners at Omaha Chamber as their Vice President Economic Development with a strong background and career focused on the economic empowerment of businesses and individuals. Winsley currently is responsible for The Chamber’s REACH Program, an initiative for the development of small businesses wishing to increase their technical abilities, business acumen, access to capital and to increase the overall capacity of their firms. Prior to REACH, his responsibilities encompassed attracting new businesses to the Greater Omaha Area; with an emphasis on growth firms in the areas of Finance & Insurance, Value-Added Ag, Manufacturing and Defense. GNWBC is honored to have such a powerhouse represent all the possibilities of this program and educating our entrepreneurs towards a brighter future for their small businesses.
