Event description

The Nashville Public Library will focus on its free business-related research tools for entrepreneurs. Come prepared with your business Idea or business plan and be ready to access resources, use them to support your business, and ask questions relevant for your business. NPL will walk attendees through how to:

  • Access resources from anywhere
  • Research your customer base and competitors
  • Monitor industry and market trends
  • Export data

We will cover a brief tutorial on how to sign-up for a card, how to access eBooks and databases. We also plan to cover different databases in each section.

Your Instructors Tina Reid and Corey Frederick

Tina Reid is an Adult Services Librarian at the Green Hills Branch Library. She has worked with the Nashville Public Library for almost three years, serving in different capacities at the Richland Park Branch and then the Bellevue Branch before the move to Green Hills. She joined Nashville Public Library Means Business two years ago, contributing to the monthly newsletter. She has also worked to promote the initiative through outreach and partnering with NECAT Network to get the word out about NPLMB to the Nashville community.

Corey Frederick has worked with Nashville Public Library for ten years and is currently the Branch Manager of the Goodlettsville Branch Library. Corey has worked on the NPL Means Business initiative since its start in April 2021, regularly promoting the initiative’s new services to business-focused community organizations and the public throughout Nashville and Davidson County.
