Differences between a non-profit and for-profit corporation can be confusing. In this free webinar, you’ll learn the practicalities of starting and managing a nonprofit organization. SCORE expert business mentor Bob Whitcomb, who has founded and led several non-profits, will cover:

• Key steps to getting started: determining organizational structure, establishing a Board, and developing bylaws
• Necessary filings with state and federal government
• Ongoing governance and operations

About the Presenter:

Bob Whitcomb has a 44-year business career, concluding as Controller for a 25-person firm. Community activist, serving in numerous roles for community associations, including Treasurer and President. Served on two County Commissions. And is Treasurer and Lead Fundraiser for his local SCORE Chapter. He is also President of Severn River Association, and leads the largest group of volunteer oyster growers.
