Government socioeconomic certifications provide socio and/or economically disadvantaged individuals reduced competition for prime contracts (Federal only) and may improve subcontracting opportunities (Federal, State of Texas & Local, e.g., City of Houston). The eligible groups are Minorities, Women, and Veterans, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
