Event description

As a startup grows, strong guidance becomes increasingly important. If your early-stage company has formed a board—or is thinking about it—Startup Boards 101 is designed to help you navigate that next step with confidence.

This series of three required workshops introduces entrepreneurs and potential board members to the why, what, and how of early-stage boards. You’ll learn the purpose of advisory and fiduciary boards, what effective boards actually do, and how founders and board members can work together productively.

Startup Boards 101 is intended for founders who have moved beyond the earliest startup phase and are seriously considering the value of a board to support growth, accountability, and decision-making. The series also creates space for meaningful connections, allowing founders to network with potential board members who bring experience and perspective to the table.

Attendance at all three sessions is required to get the full benefit of the series. Because of the interactive nature of the workshops and the opportunity for discussion and networking, spots are limited.

If you’re ready to explore how a board can support your company’s next phase, Startup Boards 101 offers a clear, practical introduction.

Startup Boards meets on Thursdays, 3-6pm, on Sept 10, 17 & 24, 2026. Participants must be able to attend all three sessions.
