This seminar is designed to assist small business owners and managers in updating and communicating personnel policies through their employee handbooks. During this session, we will review regulatory and judicial leanings regarding recordkeeping, progressive discipline, workplace violence, and harassment, with the goal of establishing a handbook that is effective in managing these obligations as well as developing a unique company culture.
Included in the training are:
- Overview of Elements of an Employee Handbook
- Determining what policies and procedures should be put in place
- Legal considerations to keep in mind when writing policies and procedures
- Implementing policies and procedures through orientation, communication, coaching, and supervision
