Event description
This event is hosted by BakerRipley
Small business owners often know they need help — but don’t always know: WHO to ask for help, WHAT to ask, or WHAT are their next steps.
From Advice to Action: Small Business Mentor Match is a guided, action-focused event designed to give entrepreneurs direct access to experienced mentors who can help them gain clarity and move forward with confidence. This is NOT a sales event or a traditional networking mixer.
Attendees are not pitching services and are not expected to have everything figured out. The goal of this event is simple: to turn questions into clarity and advice into action.
What to Expect:
- A short resource panel with experts sharing practical insights
- Structured mentor matchmaking sessions in small groups
- Direct access to mentors in areas such as:
- Marketing Strategy
- Financial planning & funding
- Operations & systems
- Contracting and Certifications
- Time to ask 2–3 focused questions and receive real, actionable guidance
- Clear next steps and opportunities to schedule follow-up conversations after the event
Who Should Attend:
- Aspiring entrepreneurs preparing to launch
- Early-stage and growing small business owners
- Business owners seeking guidance, direction, and accountability
How to Prepare:
To get the most out of this event, attendees are encouraged to:
- Come ready with specific questions
- Be open to feedback and next steps
- Be prepared to take action after the event
If you’re ready to stop guessing and start moving your business forward, this event is for you.
