Event description
In 2025, Douglas County and the City of Omaha spent a combined total of $128.5 million in governement contracts! Both the City of Omaha and Douglas County governements buy a wide variety of products and services, offering vast opportunities for businesses.
Join us for an insightful event hosted by the Nebraska APEX Accelerator. This recurring bi-monthly workshop will feature presentations by Tamara Hibbert from Douglas County / City of Omaha Purchasing and Karol Gonzales, Economic Development Program Administrator - SEB, City of Omaha Human Rights and Relations Department. They will be joined by the Nebraska APEX Accelerator representatives to provide essential guidance for businesses. This session will equip you with knowledge about navigating the local market, understanding requirements, certifications, websites, and more to help you determine if government contracting is a good fit for your business. Attendees will also gain valuable insights into bidding on projects with the County and City and learn how to take full advantage of APEX’s free services.
Event Information: This is an in-person event. The event will take place at Heartland Workforce Solutions (5752 Ames Ave., Omaha, NE 68104) in the Community North Room. Details about the event will be sent to you in a registration confirmation email after registering.
