Visibility Strategies for Global Soccer Visitors and Customers
Learn how to get discovered online, in your industry, and in your community
An International Soccer event is coming to Kansas City bringing six matches, hundreds of thousands of international visitors, and billions of eyes on our city from June through July 2026. This is the single largest economic and cultural event in Kansas City's history, and small businesses that prepare now will be positioned to capture a once-in-a-lifetime revenue opportunity.
With major global events bringing international visitors to Kansas City, visibility becomes more than local awareness. This class explores practical strategies businesses can use to be more discoverable to people visiting from outside the U.S. Topics include online directories, local and regional listings, social media presence, Google visibility, and website basics that support findability. We’ll discuss how international visitors often search for businesses, experiences, and services before and during travel, and how businesses can position themselves to show up in those moments. The focus is on approachable, realistic visibility tactics rather than complex campaigns. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how small shifts in online presence, consistency, and messaging can help their business be easier to find, recognize, and engage with by international customers exploring the Kansas City area.
