In-Depth Email and Social Media Marketing Strategies for Global Soccer Visitors
Powerful Tools for Connecting with international Customers
An International Soccer event is coming to Kansas City bringing six matches, hundreds of thousands of international visitors, and billions of eyes on our city from June through July 2026. This is the single largest economic and cultural event in Kansas City's history, and small businesses that prepare now will be positioned to capture a once-in-a-lifetime revenue opportunity.
Email and social media are powerful tools for staying connected with customers beyond a single visit or transaction. This class explores foundational email and social media marketing concepts with added consideration for international audiences. Topics include maintaining relationships across time zones, cultural awareness in messaging, and creating content that remains relevant after visitors return home. We’ll discuss how businesses can use email lists and social platforms to extend the customer experience, encourage repeat engagement, and support long-term brand connection without overcomplicating their marketing efforts. The focus is on thoughtful communication, consistency, and adaptability rather than volume or constant posting. Participants will gain insight into how everyday email and social media practices can be adjusted to better serve international customers while still fitting within a small business’s existing marketing rhythm.
