Ben Smith serves as the Director & Business Development Specialist at the Clemson Region Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Ben oversees the development and delivery of critical services, including business consulting, market analysis, financial planning, and strategic growth support for businesses at all stages.

Ben continues to have a distinguished career in academia and in the finance industry. Ben graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Winthrop University and subsequently completed his MBA from Clemson University. Ben holds professional certifications in strategic growth and business valuation.

Ben has been recognized with multiple accolades for his exemplary contributions to SC SBDC and for his dedication to the small business community. Ben continues to be passionate about fostering development in South Carolina by helping entrepreneurs turn their ideas into sustainable ventures.
