Join the West Virginia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for the series Money Smart for Small Business. This series provides a practical introduction to starting and managing a business that is ideal for both aspiring and established entrepreneurs. The series was developed jointly by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FIDC) and the SBA. Each virtual session comes with a practical workbook guide.  Sessions are Wednesdays at 11:30 am beginning March 18, 2026, through May 27, 2026.  Register for the sessions that fit your schedule and needs. These sessions will not be recorded.

There are various financing options and funding sources available and we’ll compare what banks and alternative lenders can provide to help businesses succeed. There are a diverse range of other banking services available including advanced account features like reporting and bundling, innovative payment solutions, and merchant services that can support business growth. Lastly we’ll review the best guidance available for safeguarding your business by recognizing and preventing fraud and scams.
