Join the West Virginia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for the series Money Smart for Small Business. This series provides a practical introduction to starting and managing a business that is ideal for both aspiring and established entrepreneurs. The series was developed jointly by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FIDC) and the SBA. Each virtual session comes with a practical workbook guide. Sessions are Wednesdays at 11:30 am beginning March 18, 2026, through May 27, 2026. Register for the sessions that fit your schedule and needs. These sessions will not be recorded.
Learn to plan, report, and manage small business tax requirements in this practical workshop.
This module equips participants with the knowledge and tools to navigate the tax landscape for small businesses. Upon completion, attendees will be able to:
- Identify federal tax requirements for small businesses and their owners develop a plan to ensure accurate accounting and timely payment.
- Understand general state and local tax obligations and create a strategy for managing and fulfilling these requirements.
- Learn effective methods for researching local, municipal, and county reporting and licensing requirements for small businesses.
