Event description
Hosted by the SBA Office of the National Ombudsman, the meeting will include representatives from the US Forest Service (USFS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Natural Resources Conservation Services (NCRS), and the Small Business Administration (SBA).
The purpose of this hearing is to gather feedback from stakeholders such as small businesses, ranchers, and grazing permit holders about federal regulations that affect livestock grazing on public lands. We would like to hear about regulatory challenges regarding grazing issues on federal lands such as (but not limited to) permitting matters, delays, and/or compliance or enforcement issues. We would also like to hear ways regulations could be improved or simplified. The National Ombudsman collects this feedback and reports it annually to Congress and federal agencies to push for regulatory improvements.
