Join us for this edition of Fed Talk where we will chat with Brian Berman from the U.S. Census Bureau. Brian will introduce the newest version of the U.S. Census Business Builder, and show you to unlock a valuable, and free, resource!

U.S. Census Bureau – Business Builder

The Business Builder is an online database providing easy access to information about potential customers and similar businesses for those planning a business. The data are represented in a map-based interface that is accessed in a few simple steps. Key features include:

  • Demographic, socioeconomic data
  • Business data, employer and non-employer statistics
  • Workforce data
  • Building permits
  • Agricultural data
  • Consumer Spending

About the Speaker

Brian Berman, Data Dissemination Specialist, U.S. Census Bureau

Brian Berman is a Data Dissemination Specialist who works primarily with the populations of Washington, Oregon and Idaho working out of King County, Washington. He has led more than 400 public events on behalf of the Census Bureau in his current role as a Data Dissemination Specialist and as part of the 2020 Decennial Census effort in Nevada as a Senior Partnership Specialist.

Brian also has previous federal experience with the Social Security Administration and the Small Business Administration.
