ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Exporters face USA export controls on every shipment - EAR99 included.

Many still struggle to apply a clear, workable compliance framework. Join Dina Molaison, Sr. International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service for a practical workshop on navigating the Export Administration Regulations, spotting risks, and strengthening your export strategy. We’ll take the mechanical approach out of the equation and apply solid principles you can use to ensure your company is compliant with U.S. export law. No lengthy PowerPoints here – just practical guidance on how to navigate the Regs as we review the Bureau of Industry & Security (BIS) website and point out areas of particular interest. We'll also briefly highlight important concepts from the ITAR and OFAC Sanction Programs.

LEARN HOW TO:

  • Understand who has jurisdiction over your product
  • Develop an export compliance process for your products
  • Determine if a license is required for export
  • Take advantage of export resources available to assist
