Did you know that most employees in the U.S. are covered by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)? As an employer, are you aware of and meeting your obligations under the Act?
Come join the U.S. Small Business Administration Rhode Island and Connecticut and the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division (WHD), for a comprehensive overview of the FLSA’s major provisions, as well as practical tips and resources for ensuring compliance.
Topics will include:
- Employment relationship;
- FLSA coverage;
- Minimum wage;
- Overtime fundamentals;
- Exemptions;
- Youth employment provisions;
- Employer recordkeeping obligations;
- PUMP Act requirements;
