Event description
CWE is proud to partner with MassDevelopment. MassDevelopment, the state’s development finance agency and land bank, delivers financing solutions, real estate expertise, and other assistance to strengthen and grow the Massachusetts economy. We partner with businesses, nonprofits, developers, banks, and municipalities, providing debt financing and grants solutions to expand jobs, build housing, and foster vibrant communities across the state. We have a strong focus on small businesses that include technical assistance, grants, working capital, and real estate financing to help existing business grow in the Commonwealth. Come join to learn more about how to tap into these programs!
Presenters:
- Patricia Dandrow, Vice President, Lending: Tricia is a finance professional who specializes in providing creative and flexible financing solutions and direct financing assistance for projects primarily in the Southcoast region of the Commonwealth through MassDevelopment’s debt financing programs. Prior to joining MassDevelopment, Tricia spent a career in commercial banking at financial institutions such as Brookline Bank, Rockland Trust and South Coastal Bank. Tricia holds a bachelor of science degree from Eastern Nazarene College.
- Theresa Ng, Vice President Community Investment: Theresa Ng helps small businesses across Massachusetts access the funding they need to grow. She leads the Biz-M-Power Grant Program, which offers matching grants to small businesses with fewer than 20 employees for renovations, equipment, and other capital expenses. During the pandemic, she worked on the state’s largest COVID-19 small business relief program, helping business owners especially those facing language and technical barriers get the support they needed. With a background in entrepreneurship, community work, and even running a coffee bar, Theresa brings a real-world understanding of what small business owners need to succeed.
- Geetha Rao Ramani, Vice President Business Development, North Region: Geetha leads new engagements with businesses, manufacturers, real estate developers and nonprofits that are seeking financing for their economic development projects through MassDevelopment’s debt financing or grant programs in the Commonwealth. Prior to joining MassDevelopment, Geetha worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury on economic development. Geetha holds a Masters in Economics from Johns Hopkins University SAIS and a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
