Event description

When Trust Becomes Your Greatest Vulnerability: What Small Business Owners Need to Know About Third-Party Cyber Risk and Business Identity Theft

Today’s cyber threats are no longer limited to direct attacks on your own company’s computer systems. In an interconnected world, your business depends on a web of trusted third parties: your bank, phone and internet providers, cloud services, cybersecurity and IT vendors, accounting and payroll platforms, insurers, social media, customers, and suppliers. Each of these organizations holds pieces of your business identity.

A single security lapse in any one of these relationships can expose enough information for a criminal to impersonate you and your company, access your accounts, change payment details, and move funds before you even realize what has happened. Identity theft is not just a personal risk; it is a serious business risk.
