Event description

Learn the legal essentials of running a business, including LLCs, contracts, liability, compliance, and brand protection.

Starting a business involves more than a great idea. Understanding the legal side of entrepreneurship can help you avoid costly mistakes, protect your business, and build a stronger foundation for growth.

Join us for Build It Right: A Legal Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs, an interactive three-hour workshop facilitated by Richard V. Waring, JD, MBA. It is designed to help aspiring and established business owners navigate the legal essentials of running a business. Participants will gain practical knowledge on business structures, contracts, liability, licensing and permits, intellectual property, and other important legal considerations that impact day-to-day operations.

This session is designed to be engaging, informative, and easy to understand, even if you have no legal background. Through real-world examples, group discussions, and practical exercises, you will learn how to identify potential risks, make informed decisions, and take steps to better protect your business.

Topics include:

• Choosing the right business structure

• Contracts and agreements every business owner should understand

• Business licenses, permits, and compliance requirements

• Managing liability and reducing legal risk

• Protecting your business name, brand, and creative assets

• Common legal mistakes entrepreneurs make and how to avoid them
